International Federation of Social Workers

This side-event will explore main insights from the 2022 Global People's Summit, a multi-day, once in a generation gathering of NGOs committed to building a new eco-social world.

Speakers will  highlight the role of social workers as stakeholders in developing and sustaining partnerships that establish and deepen an  interdisciplinary multi sectoral approach to advancing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and  present highlights of social protection programs and policies that promote eco-social practices across communities, with a focus on addressing environmental degradation, natural and human-made disasters, and the impact of global pandemics such as COVID-19.

Panelist will also highlight a holistic framework of values and principles, and discuss the implications of our sustainable shared futures through the commitment to reciprocity, co-building  peace, co-living with nature, and co-creating social justice .
