Human Rights Council

Work conducted under the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) has significant links to the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and can provide valuable guidance for its implementation, monitoring and reporting.

The 2020 inputs to the HLPF provide:

  • an analytical overview of initiatives and actions presented at the Human Rights Council directly related to the 2030 Agenda and to the SDGs;
  • overview of UPR recommendations and their relevance to the 2030 Agenda;
  • key conclusions and recommendations of the second HRC intersessional meeting for dialogue and cooperation on human rights and the 2030 Agenda;
  • a reflection on child rights and the 2030 Agenda.

    • These inputs have been prepared by the HRC Secretariat at the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and substantive sections of the OHCHR entrusted with follow-up to activities calling for inputs to the HLPF.
