Welcome to the United Nations
Effective and robust science–policy interfaces at the global, regional and (sub-)national levels will be crucial to successfully facilitate the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Viable science–policy interfaces are not only important for monitoring the progress of the SDGs, but they will also be indispensable for regular assessment and as early warning systems to identify new challenges. This side event will bring together leading international scholars to discuss different options for feasible science–policy interfaces to monitoring progress on the national implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
