RSVP: monica.jahangir@atd-quartmonde.org Synopsis: Participation of people living in poverty is a key concept of Agenda 2030, at the crossroads of Goal 1 on poverty eradication, and Goal 16 on peaceful and inclusive societies. For 30 years, the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty, recognizing that extreme poverty is a violation of human rights, has created a unique space for people living in poverty to share their first-hand experience and indispensable knowledge to end poverty. From different perspectives, including people with a direct experience of poverty, this side-event will explore the impact of these contributions in the UN system and beyond.
