The HLPF SDG Learning, Training and Practice sessions will take place Monday 10, Tuesday 11, Wednesday 12 and Friday 14 July 2017 at the United Nations headquarters in New York City, New York, in conference room 6. Training timeslots will not be available on 13 July 2017.
The HLPF SDG Learning, Training and Practice sessions will offer 8 courses. Each course will last three hours with morning sessions from 10am to 1pm and afternoon sessions from 3 pm to 6 pm. The courses will run in parallel to the HLPF formal meetings. A certificate of course completion may be distributed by the course organizers. All materials used will be the responsibility of the organizers.
Course selection process and deadline
A call for proposals for courses as well as networking and experience-sharing sessions is now open online. An application form for submission of proposals can be accessed on the UNDESA-DSD sustainable development knowledge platform at https://sustainabledevelopment.un.org/hlpf. Among the proposals received, the selection of the courses will be based on their merit, relevance to the HLPF theme and SDGs indicated above as well as the expertise of the organizers. There is no fee for submission or approval of proposals of courses. However, costs associated with the courses approved will be the responsibility of the organizers.
