To ensure implementation of the Agenda 2030, we must ensure a cohesive policy approach that breaks the silos among different existing agenda frameworks, such as Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction, Paris Agreement, the SDGs and others. Bringing key insights from the 2022 Global Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction on building back from Covid19 to towards Agenda 2030 realization, the side event will be a space to synergize between the two global policy spaces and to draw links with the up-coming COP27 conference, exploring policy opportunities.

We will invite partners to discuss challenges in sustainable development, drr, and climate policy integration as much as successes sharing best practices and recommendations.

The event will discuss effective partnership mechanisms between governments, local communities and civil society stakeholders in building policy links to deliver resilient communities, and how to engage across community, local, national, and global levels to achieve a whole of society and a whole of policy approach to implement Agenda 2030.
