Education - a key pillar of EU Global Gateway strategy and SDG implementation.

The side-event will assess the challenges posed by the economic and social recovery that the world is facing in the context of the pandemic, notably how to redesign the world connectivity to “build back better” in line with the SDGs. The event will take stock of implementing Global Gateway by working in a Team Europe approach, the need for strong global partnerships for sustainable investments in digital, transport, education and research, as a tangible support to the implementation on the SDGs and a sustainable recovery. Within this, it will put a special focus on quality education (SDG 4) and look ahead to the Transforming Education Summit.
