Purpose

The overall objective of the side event is to bring together Development Partners including the UN Agencies, civil society, philanthropic organizations, and key government officials with a view to sharing experiences and best practices, showcasing programme and policy gains in addressing gender inequality and empowerment of women and girls, and mobilizing resources for scaling up the existing interventions.

Expected Outcomes

  • Partnerships built, and networks created
  • Resources mobilized for scale-up and investment 
  • Increased awareness of the challenges and opportunities of the Women Enterprise Fund and the KABILO Bama Initiative
