Multi-actor Partnership Platforms to Accelerate Progress on the SDGs in Mexico

The event will focus on consolidating alliances for the achievement of the SDGs from the state and municipal levels. Through a digital platform, denominated “2030 Solutions Platform” that encourages and promotes progress of the 17 SDGs and that focuses efforts on priority SDGs, such as 4, 5, 14, 15, and 17. In line with targets 17.16 and 17.17 relating to the formation of alliances between multiple actors, highlights the need to promote the exchange of knowledge, specialization, technology, and financial resources, to support the achievement of the SDGs in all countries, particularly developing countries.

The event aims to strengthen multi-stakeholder efforts through the formation of local alliances for sustainable development. Moreover, a space will be given to invite other middle-income countries to share their experiences in the generation of innovative mechanisms that promote multi-stakeholder links and build alliances. This activity aims to be a platform for States, local governments, international organizations, civil society, the private sector, academia, and citizens in general, to recognize themselves as active entities and co-responsible for collaborating and co-creating solutions for well-being and social, economic, and environmental development and, in that regard, for them to act in a coordinated, collaborative, and complementary manner.
