Peace Boat with Global Center on Adaptation
Peace Boat is hosting the North American Adaptation Forum, part of a series of 6 Regional Youth Forums organized by the Global Center on Adaptation in partnership with youth organizations. To be held on the margins of the HLPF on July 15 at 777 United Nations Plaza, opposite the UN Headquarters, the North American Youth Forum will connect the issue of climate adaptation to the theme of the 2022 HLPF with a focus on SDG4, Quality Education. The overall objective is to increase youth participation in the adaptation agenda and the Global Goal on Adaptation's review. The forum will explore linkages between the Global Goal on Adaptation and the Sustainable Development Goals. The education and empowerment of young people is key to both.
The Forum will bring together young people, youth led-organizations, policy-makers, and international organizations.
