The event will showcase the work that has been done to develop capacity for improved pharmaceutical production in Africa, and developing trade in the process.
The main 2 objectives are:
i) To share key lessons and experiences of AfCFTA – anchored Pharmaceutical Initiative which demonstrates Africa’s demand and supply gaps specifically targeting women health and at the same time offering a business opportunity for the private sector – local manufacturers or regional suppliers stemming from the aggregation of African countries into single market by AfCFTA.
ii) To showcase health investment opportunities, prospects for job creation, cost savings and productivity gains and the market readiness to leverage on the AfCFTA and AMA for sustainable development in Africa.
