The Decade of Action: The Role of Indigenous Peoples in Building Back Better from COVID-19 and Accelerating Implementation of the 2030 Agenda in Africa

Land is Life

This session, hosted by Land is Life, will be an opportunity to hear directly from grassroots Indigenous Peoples’ representatives from diverse sub-regions of Africa including West, Central and South. Land is Life will co-organize this event with CAIWOF, Adjmor, and Tin Hinan, as their representatives will share how they have been impacted by COVID-19, their involvement in the implementation of Agenda 2030 at local, national and International levels, and the role of Indigenous knowledge and ways of living in realizing the SDG’s, responding to the challenges of global climate change and protecting the Earth’s biological Diversity. The side event will involve a panel discussion of their situation doing their work within their contexts.
