Permanent Mission of Colombia to the United Nations with Republic of Korea and the Kingdom of Denmark
The current social and economic context demands joint work between the State, private sector, civil society, academia, and international organizations. The reactivation in a post-pandemic scenario requires uniting efforts between all the actors that play a role in promoting sustainable development. In this sense, tools such as the Multi-Stakeholder Platform are key to strengthen common efforts for a better future, while public-private initiatives, such as P4G, deserve to be supported.
This official side-event will build upon last year’s introduction to the process of the creation of the Multi-stakeholder Platform as an inclusive collaboration mechanism between state and non-state actors. In particular, it will showcase the advantages, challenges and lessons that have been collected through its implementation, with the purpose of exploring the application of this effective tool in interested countries.
The following are the objectives and expected outcomes of the official side-event:
- Share key points about the experience of involving different stakeholders in the consolidation of the Multi-stakeholder Platform.
- Share experiences on building the roadmap for implementing the platform in other countries.
- Contribute to the construction of new platforms and initiatives around the world, using the lessons and knowledge acquired through the Colombian experience of implementing the multi-stakeholder’s platform.
