The official Side Event of the German Government at the HLPF 2022 aims at showcasing the transformational potential of gender equality for sustainable de-velopment. It will identify gaps and challenges, as well as best practices and innovative approaches, scrutinize gender norms and highlight alternative ways forward. The event will discuss barriers and opportunities to gender equality and SDG implementation and will highlight the potential of gender transformative approaches in times of multiple crises. It will host a diverse set of high-level panelists and aims at catalyzing increased engagement and inspiring concrete action for SDG 5 together with SDGs 4, 14, 15, and 17.
