I am Francis Koroma, the founder and president of the Francis Koroma Foundation. I am from Freetown, Sierra Leone. Nationally and globally, I have been working with the Organization of African Youth as a country representative and the Ministry of Youth Affairs as a youth ambassador for Sierra Leone for the past five years. In these roles, I work hard to empower young people by giving them mentorship and opportunities and by being their voice on the biggest stage. I was one of seven Africans who won the pacesetter award from the largest African diaspora organization in the United States on Africa Day, May 25, 2022, at the United Nations. During the summer of 2018, I worked on my company's FranTech3D project at Yale University to address Goal 6 of the Sustainable Development Goals (water and sanitation) by using modern technology to assist in the creation of safe, affordable 10,000-liter water tanks for areas where people lack access to water. I have won awards from all over the world, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology chose me as one of the four best entrepreneurs for the New Business Model Challenge 2020. I also host a podcast called Decade Goal Podcast that brings together exceptional individuals from many backgrounds to share their wisdom and ideas with the next generation of world leaders. I founded a talent management company and partnered with young people who had unique ideas for singing, painting, digital marketing, and tech startups, among other things. I've been using my newly found voice to bring young people together and give them any help they need to make their business ideas come true.
