There is an international consensus to achieve sustainable development worldwide and decarbonize our societies. In view of the COVID-19 pandemic and the efforts to revitalize our economies, we face the challenge to not lose sight of what we agreed upon. The SDGs chart the way out of the crisis and should be at the heart of a green and better recovery. The EU is working on the European Green Deal, and others are undertaking similar efforts. This side event will discuss how best to ensure that crisis-related investments take into account the 2030 Agenda and the Paris Agreement.
