Considering the detrimental impact of COVID-19 on global economy, the amplified dimensions of inequalities at multiple levels; with half a billion people pushed into poverty and an estimation of more than 195 million people losing their jobs, this event aims at addressing how global policies can support the cooperative sector as a vehicle of resilience through this crisis and beyond. It will showcase the capacity of cooperatives in re-activating effectively local economies, focusing on inclusive and sustainable economic growth by reaching out to the most vulnerable ones. An interactive format, showing the work of youth cooperatives in the digital era will boost the discussion.
