Forests and transformative pathways to sustainability

IUFRO/Natural Resources Institute Finland with World Wildlife Fund and Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland

The panel (4 speakers) will discuss the role of forests and forestry in transformative change and ways to accelerate progress towards sustainability. It will focus on the role of forest in transformational change; forests and the levers of change across complex systems; illustrate ways to accelerate transformative change for forests-food-energy-climate nexus and their potential and limitations with emphasis on equity, gender and governance; and discuss from forest perspective the opportunities for building on the synergies among the SDGs for accelerating progress towards sustainability.
