Lifelong-learning offers many answers to the COVID-19 crises, contributing to healthy lives and promotion of well-being (SDG3) by providing knowledge and skills needed to cope with new challenges. This side event will explore ways how Global-Citizenship-Education (Target4.7) provides sustainable approaches to global challenges: sharing information and raising awareness about global issues of sustainable development, anthropogenic climate change and environmental degradation that could encourage the spread of new diseases. Speakers and participants will discuss and show how GCE can support transformative education, critical thinking, (media) literacy and education for human rights and civic participation in the times of health crises.
