The COVID-19 crisis has rendered critical issues in drug policy and criminal justice more urgent than ever, including incarceration as a driver of infectious disease spread; public health measures for injection drug users, a marginalized group; and human rights crises including extrajudicial killings. Our panel will discuss efforts to decarcerate, to fully fund harm reduction programs, and to bring accountability to bear for crimes against humanity in the drug war.
