Finding: The VNR of Ghana acknowledges the relevance of having effective institutional monitoring and implementation mechanisms. The country identifies that progress on Millenium Development Goals was hampered by weak sectoral coordination and collaboration among stakeholders. Building on the lessons learned, Ghana has set up a number of SDG-specific structures, namely a High-Level Ministerial Committee, in charge of providing strategic direction for implementing the SDGs and the African Agenda 2063, an SDGs Implementation Coordination Committee, a Technical Committee, and a CSOs Platform on SDGs.
