Work conducted under the UN Human Rights Council (HRC) has significant links to the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development and can provide valuable guidance for its implementation, monitoring and reporting.
The 2021 inputs to the HLPF provide:
- • recommendations from the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) peer review mechanism to the HLPF;
- • key conclusions and recommendations of the third HRC intersessional meeting for dialogue and cooperation on human rights and the 2030 Agenda;
- • overview of the UN Human Rights Council’s work on the 2030 Agenda and on COVID-19;
- • a reflection on child rights and the 2030 Agenda;
These inputs have been prepared by the substantive sections of the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) entrusted with follow-up to activities carrying a mandate for submitting inputs to the HLPF.
