Accelerating Implementation through Gender-Responsive VNRs: Lessons from a Decade of Practice

As the HLPF marks a decade of VNRs, this Lab will explore how gender-responsive approaches have advanced implementation of the 2030 Agenda. Drawing on experiences from Member States, Regional Commissions and civil society, the discussion will highlight good practices, persistent challenges, and institutional and participatory mechanisms that embed gender equality in VNR processes. Speakers (TBC) will reflect on lessons learned and identify concrete strategies to strengthen gender mainstreaming in reporting and follow-up, with a focus on translating commitments into transformative policy and financing outcomes.
