This year marks the International Year of Cooperatives (IYC2025), being celebrated under the theme: “Cooperatives build a better world.” Also this year, the State of Qatar is hosting the Second World Summit on Social Development. The UNGA resolution on Cooperatives in Social Development, A/RES/78/175, recognizes the important contribution and potential of all forms of cooperatives to the follow-up to the World Summit for Social Development. And with five years left to 2030, this Lab will present concrete evidence and case studies showing how cooperatives deliver social and economic impact and can accelerate progress on the SDGs and support the outcomes of the World Social Summit.
