The UN Environment Assembly (UNEA) plays a crucial role in ensuring the environmental aspects of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development are effectively implemented and fully integrated with its social and economic dimensions. Recognizing that a healthy environment is fundamental and essential for sustainable development, the President of the UN Environment Assembly, H.E. Ms. Leila Benali, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development of Morocco, will highlight the key messages of the Assembly. She will present the environmental perspective on sustainable development and discuss the Assembly’s contributions to the High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) debates.
