Finding: The Ministry of Justice and the Higher Institute of the Magistracy, in partnership with OHCHR, carried out a Judges Capacity Building Program to deal with cases of violence against women, which benefited approximately 450 magistrates. The program began with a training cycle for trainers and the elaboration of a guide presenting the new provisions of Law No. 2017-58 on the Elimination of Violence against Women, together with good practices in the judicial treatment of women victims of violence. The Center for Judicial and Legal Studies, attached to the Ministry of Justice, organized with OHCHR judges meetings to analyze the problems faced during the Law on the elimination of violence against women application, to find solutions and generate recommendations. The project's preliminary results were presented to the Parliament in March 2021, during the special day of sessions to evaluate Law No. 2017-58 implementation carried out at the request of parliamentarians, with the participation of multiple national government ministries.
