Those yearly reporting exercises will be the basis of an accountability mechanism that will engage all stakeholders, including citizenship. Moreover, considering the 2030 Agenda's intergenerational nature, the government will submit the annual progress reports to the national Child Participation Council.
In addition, Spain assumed the commitment of carrying out an exhaustive mid-term evaluation in 2024 to produce a detailed assessment of the country's progress towards the SDGs and its compliance with the promises made in the 2030 Agenda.

Consequently, Spain has developed an SDG impact analysis for legislative initiatives, including external and global impact, and extended its foreign policy impact assessment to include the SDGs. A forecast analysis on SDG impact is included in the country partnership framework with third states.
